Heat-pump marketing services, and how to choose the first one

Most heat-pump sellers need one of five things fixed first: rebate messaging, winter-performance content, comparison pages, paid search or quote follow-up. This page helps you work out which.

Pick the service that fixes your biggest leak, not the one that sounds most exciting. For most heat-pump installers that leak is in one of five places: homeowners don't understand the incentives, they doubt winter performance, they can't compare options, they can't find you when they search, or they go quiet after the quote. Each service below targets one of those.

A quick way to diagnose it: write down how many heat-pump quotes you sent last quarter and how many were signed. If you sent plenty and signed few, the problem is downstream. If you signed most of the few you sent, the problem is upstream.

Rebate-led heat-pump campaigns

This is for you if homeowners keep calling to ask "what rebate do I get?" and your website can't answer. We build incentive pages and campaigns for your province, written as of a stated date, linked to the program administrator and updated when terms change.

It matters more than usual right now. A federal heat pump rebate has been announced for 2027 but isn't open, so some homeowners are deciding whether to wait. Your marketing needs a calm, accurate answer to that. Full details: rebate marketing.

Cold-climate education content

This is for you if quotes stall on "will it keep up in January?" We write explainers, job stories and FAQ content about winter performance, backup heat and sizing questions, based on manufacturer documentation and your own installs, never on invented figures.

It is the slowest service to show results and often the most durable. See cold-climate content.

Comparison and decision pages

This is for you if homeowners arrive already comparing: heat pump vs gas furnace, ducted vs ductless, full electrification vs dual fuel, heat pump vs boiler upgrade. We build fair comparison pages that rank for those searches and send the reader toward an assessment, not a sales pitch.

Comparison pages also give your sales team something to send after a first visit. See comparison pages.

Heat-pump search and Local Services Ads

This is for you if you need more quote requests within weeks rather than months. We build Google Ads and Local Services Ads campaigns around heat-pump intent, with negative keywords that filter out DIY, parts and "how does a heat pump work" traffic, and we tie every call back to a campaign.

Paid search is the quickest lever, and the easiest one to waste money on. See heat-pump ads.

Quote-to-install follow-up

This is for you if your close rate on heat-pump quotes is under about a third, or if you can't say what it is. We design a call, text and email cadence for the weeks between quote and signature, with rebate reminders and answers to the objections your team hears most.

It works on leads you have already paid for, which is why we often recommend it first. See quote follow-up.

Whichever you choose, every service is set up so the work and the data stay in your accounts, and every service is reported against the same measures: booked assessments, signed jobs and cost per signed job.

A simple way to sequence them

If you're unsure, this order works for most installers:

  1. Measure first. Count quotes, signed jobs and rebate jobs for the last two quarters.
  2. Fix follow-up if the close rate is weak.
  3. Fix the rebate page so every visitor gets a straight answer.
  4. Add paid search to fill the calendar while content builds.
  5. Build cold-climate and comparison content to bring down cost per lead over time.

You can see what each level of support costs on the pricing page, check how these methods worked for other heating companies on the results page, or learn the approach in depth in the guides. When you're ready, the contact page explains what to send us.

Frequently asked questions

Do we have to buy all five services?

No. Most installers start with one or two, chosen from their own numbers. A company with plenty of quotes and a weak close rate needs follow-up first; a company with a strong close rate and few quotes needs ads or content.

Which service pays back fastest?

Usually quote follow-up, because it works on leads you already paid for. Paid search is the fastest way to add new volume. Content and comparison pages are slower but compound for years.

Are these services available outside BC?

Yes. We run them for heat-pump sellers across Canada, and adapt each one to the province's incentives, fuel mix and language rules.

Do you do the installation or rebate paperwork for homeowners?

No. We are a marketing service, not a contractor. We help you explain your rebate process clearly; your team or the program administrator handles the actual applications.
